EDIT!!!

Okay, now that I have had time to recover, and now that I am settled at my Dad's (Yes, I got a plane the other day and flew to Nashville! Go Me! 8D) I can give you guys a more descriptive blow by blow of the concert.

Ready? Let's get started!

I woke up that morning feeling very excited and full of energy. I had to go up to my Mom's boyfriends, since she had spent the last few nights up there. She called me that morning and told me her boyfriend wasn't going to come to the concert. Why? Because he was afraid of the mosh pit! XD

So, I started thinking of who else to invite on such short notice, then it hit me to call Lauren. So I did, and she was ecstatic. Which surprised me considering when I first told her about the concert a few months ago she went "Green Day? Is that anything like Earth Day?"
:iconwthplz:

Anyway, she got permission from her parents, and drove down, at the same time I went go get mom, have lunch, then we drove downtown to get the tickets. We drove back, and I continued to pack, since the next day I would be going to my Dad's.

When Lauren got to my house, we gave her a tour, let her pet all my kitties, had an early dinner, then drove down to the arena. We parked, took a bunch of photos outside, since cameras were prohibited in the arena. Once I get those pictures developed I will post them here.

We then got into the Floor entrance line, and waited outside. We talked, sang lyrics, and admired the sea of green day T shirts, most of which I had copies with back home. I had worn my 21st Century Breakdown T Shirt, with my hair in pigtail braids with green ribbons, and my red and black hand warmers.. I was ready! XD Lauren didn't have a Green Day shirt, so I let her borrow one of my bigger ones. She looked good and ready to rock.

So a few people came out and started taking pictures to put on the big screen in the arena. Mom got them to email the picture they took of us, and the guy we were standing next to, so we have a copy!
[link]

They also told us a few numbers we could text. One was to get free stuff, and one was to post stuff like "Green Day Rocks!!!!1111" and when you send it to that number, it would appear on the big screen, as we waited for the show to start.

They let us through the doors, we got our wristbands, and ran down to the floor. We got our spot, and asked mom to stand and protect it while we went to the merchandise booth and bought stuff. XD I bought a Green Day sweat arm band thing, a key chain, and a program. I would have bought a shirt too, but I didn't have anymore money. Lauren bought a program. We got back to our spot, where we stayed rooted to the ground for a total of 7 hours. Yes, the waiting, the opening act, and the concert lasted 7 freaking hours. All standing... my feet will never be the same! D:

So while we were waiting for the opening act to start, everyone on the floor enjoyed creaking their necks straight vertical to see the big screen score board (because the arena we were seeing the concert in doubles as I believe the Orlando Magic arena.... I think.. don't hold me to it) where they were displaying the text messages and photos. We saw our picture, and a few of our text messages got through. I think I counted 5 marriage proposals, and responses. XD; Not to mention about a billion "Scream in you love Green Day" and other stuff like that. Me and the rest of the people in my area all made fun of the random names like "Josh rocks!" and all the people who were miss-spelling the name of the band members, or the band itself. GREEN DAY IS TWO WORDS PEOPLE! NOT ONE WORD! GET IT RIGHT! XD

So then the opening act started. The band was called the Kaiser Chiefs. A good decent rock band from England. It was okay, I think I was just hoping the would finish so Green Day could get on sooner. The lead singer did do one cool trick during the act where he flipped the mic stand in the air and let it fall to the ground. He also did that mic twirl like Roger Daultery of The Who does.

Yes people, I love The Who, and have seen them in concert too! D: But after Keith and John died, so it was just Pete and Roger, with their back up... I guess it was really The Who.. minus two!

Anyway, after the opening act we got to watch the AMAZING talent of the roadies and crew clean up the stage of the Kaiser Chiefs band equipment, and set up Green Day's stuff. One guy had like cat ears on, which made me laugh. We waiting a total of 30 minutes, but the last 10 went by quick cause they were playing classic rock on the loud speakers, and, I kid you not, a man in a pink bunny suit walked on stage, acting drunk, chugging beers, getting the crowd's attention.

I honestly thought it was the drummer, since Trey would probably do something like that. But it probably wasn't, since like 2 minutes after he stumbled off stage, the lights went out, and everyone screamed their heads off. It then got silent, and they walked on stage. THAT was the moment where it got real for me. I was actually at a Green Day Concert, about to see them preform live on stage, me standing a mere 10 feet from the stage, and like 2 from the platform.... :D CAN YOU SAY SQUEE!??!?!?!

Let's see if I can remember what songs, and in what order they played them in. Forgive me if I screw it up a little...

Song of the Century (Opening, as they walked on stage)
21st Century Breakdown
Know Your Enemy
Holiday
Before the Lobotomy
Hitchin' A Ride
Brain Stem
21 Guns
King For A Day
Shout
Welcome to Paradise
The Static Age
Minority
American Idiot
Jesus of Suburbia
Good Riddance (Time of your Life)

I might have missed a few. XD;

They also periodically during the concert stop and play riffs of other songs, like Back in Black by AC/DC. It was pretty darn awesome! :D

During the concert Billie dragged a few people on stage just to stand there and be involved, one girl to help super-soak the audience, as Billie launched shirts and toilet paper into the audience, and then the confetti... XD He also got 4 lucky people on stage to sing part of Welcome to Paradise
AND got a VERY VERY VERY lucky member of the audience to play the guitar, no strike that, play BILLIE'S guitar during Jesus of Suburbia! O:

Billie even mooned the audience a few times. I am not kidding! :iconeeeeeplz:

I got a few pictures and videos on my phone, and called my Dad and a few friends during the concert. Dad said most of it was just static and just noise, but he did hear Good Riddance (Time of your Life) and a few other chorus's he knew.

After the concert sadly ended, we walked back to the car, and drove home. Mom stopped at Steak N Shake to get us some waters and shakes, since we hadn't had anything to drink for 7+ hours. We got home, both went to the bathroom, then Lauren sadly had to return home, since she was borrowing the car, and her Dad needed to get to work the next morning. We had like a 5 minute goodbye hug, then she left. I was very sad, but I knew we'd see each other sometime soon.

There is talk that she will come down in September to go to the theme parks, and will kidnap me! :D

So yeah, the best f**king night of my life! :D
